As the NACS has been adopted very very recently by two more big players in the automotive industry and Tesla eventually also has the intention to "share" their Full Self Driving, should Aptera consider this?

At the moment it is still in Beta stage and extremely expensive, but when adopted by other big brands, the price could go down significantly and be benificial to many other EV brands..

Imagine your Aptera bringing you or your friends anywhere on vacation, roadtrips or whatever the destination is, without you haven't to drive at all.

    Thoughts?

twenty five years ago there was no Tesla. Today the model Y is the best selling vehicle in the world period.....

So change will come for Aptera as long as we will advocate for it! Aptera's dimensions are exactly right. Nothing needs to be to that for the European market. The only thing we need are very good negotiators/diplomats on high levels to convince the legislators.

Thanks elfraty! It's also a lot for me and I can't afford it yet to be honest. I hope it's worth something for the community and for getting Aptera to the people and onto the roads of Europe eventually.

Ideally I get some euros back somehow by offering test rides or something like that as well.

yes that's a thing. In the beginning it will be so exotic that it probably is an easy money maker..........

    Hi Michael:

I saw your import calculations. Hope you eventually succeed in that process and share the detailed information so that others can benefit. I have to be honest: I intent not to spent more than 40K on a new Aptera, so "einzelzulassung" will not be my thing. I hope that the TUV results will be mostly positive and make a roll-out possible to other EU countries.

My biggest question is: how are the arguments formulated for this so called L5e dimensions definition in the law itself? I do not know, but would be very interested why this rule was implemented. If I know the real arguments, we would be able to respond to it. What logic or safety concerns are behind it?

With that knowledge Aptera could bring in all the safety testing results(moose test results etc etc) and convince the lawmakers of this highly efficient and different way of looking at it....

A wonderfull product made in Romania by another Dutchman.....(great color scheme) Once upon a time I was the proud owner of a Go-one 3....So there are some similar and interesting common grounds here.....

Um dieTyp Zulassung, wie wir das bisher verstanden haben. Wir warten aktuell darauf, dass uns der Mitarbeiter kontaktiert, der von einer "oberen Stelle" mit dem Projekt betraut wird.

    Schauen wir mal.

If every European country has to go through this same process, it's going to be a lengthy and pricy one..... I ask myself how does f.i. Tesla do this?

Three dutch accelerator investors and three "ordinary" preorder Aptereans. As soon as Aptera relaunched I preordered one. I allready had a close look since 2008. So, if all is in favor to a swift path to production and an even faster homologation/delivery path after that, at some point in the future we could make a nice dutch comparison between the 400miles and 600miles version.....Who knows....

If the answers/reports from the TUV at a certain point in time are clear and it is possible without to many big hurdles and modifications to allow Aptera's on the german roads how will this translate into other european countries? Could you, in due time, elaborate on this and make some kind of a comparison? (TUV versus RDW)....

First of all:Happy to see that this forum has been created for european Aptera enthousiasts.

Just now created an account and hope to meet some fellow enthousiast to share knowledge about everything Aptera related.

Since a long time I'm a member of the Aptera owners club and to my surprise saw the very pleasant and interesting interview with Joachim.

Immediately went to this place and here I am!

My apologies for not using the german language.......

Lets begin our Aptera journey together and hopefully one day visit fellow Aptereans somewhere in Europe....
